Instructions for readers on reader's card
I. Application for reader's card
1. When a reader of 14 years or older applies for a reader's card of the Library of Tianjin Airport Economic Area Culture Center for the first time, he/she will be provided with such a card free of charge after he/she presents his/her second-generation ID card or other valid certificate (driver's license, military certificate, exit-entry permit for travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, home return certificate of compatriots from Taiwan, passport, green card “A Card” of talents introduced by Tianjin, and so on), fills out a personal information form, and pays certain deposit.
2. When a reader younger than 14 years applies for a reader's card of the Library of Tianjin Airport Economic Area Culture Center for the first time, he/she will be provided with such a card free of charge after his/her parent presents his/her household register, fills out a personal information form and pays certain deposit.
3. Reader's card of this library is controlled through ID number. In other words, for one ID number (or number of other valid certificate), at most one reader's card will be provided. The term of validity of a reader's card is one year. After expiration of the term of validity, the reader can renew it free of charge simply by handling registration procedures with the card. If a reader authorizes another person to apply for a reader's card on his/her behalf, the proxy should present the original ID cards of both the reader and the proxy.

III. Password of reader's card
The initial password of reader's card is the last 6 digits of the card number. Readers may change their passwords by themselves on the website of this library (www.taeacc.gov.cn).
IV. Loss reporting and reissue
1. Loss reporting: If a reader loses his/her reader's card, he/she should immediately handle loss reporting procedures with his/her valid certificate. During the period of loss reporting, the functions of the card (excluding book returning) will be suspended. All economic losses arising before the loss reporting should be borne by the reader who lost his/her card.
2. Reissue: Readers do not have to pay the costs of their reader's cards. One week after loss reporting of a reader's card, the reader may come to the Library with his/her valid certificate to apply for a reissued card; when a card can be no longer used due to man-made damage, the reader should apply for a reissued card.
V. Card examination and cancellation
Annual registration is required for the reader's card. The term of validity of a reader's card is one year from the date of issue. After expiration of such term, the reader may renew it by handling the registration procedures at the general service desk on the second floor of the Library with the expired card.
