Tianjin Airport Economic Area Culture Center is located at the junction of Zhonghuandong Road and Dongsi Road in the business and living district of Tianjin Airport Economic Area. It is adjacent to the beautiful East Lake on the north, facing New Yansha Outlets across the lake; it is close to a comprehensive stadium – Airport Sports Center on the west; it is near residential area of Tianjin Airport Economic Area on the south; it is next to Airport International Hospital, apartment for the aged, and SM Mall, the largest simplex commercial building in Asia, across the road on the east. In a word, it is located at a golden point of Tianjin Airport Economic Area, with the best geographical conditions and the most beautiful natural environment.

Integrating such functions as book lending, cultural event holding, and exhibition into a whole, the Culture Center is an important carrier for cultural and leisure activities of the mass in Tianjin Airport Economic Area. The Center has a coverage of 22,000m2 and a total building area of 48,000m2, and has many functional divisions such as book reading room, newspaper and periodical reading room, electronic reading room, children’s reading room, video and audio appreciation area, scientific and technological consulting center, archive inquiry area, archive storage area, theater, exhibition center, comprehensive exhibition hall, and training center.

Taking the concept of “spreading knowledge, memorizing history, activating culture”, the Culture Center is devoted to providing all-round and high-quality cultural services for local residents, enterprises, employees and business travelers, and makes efforts to build a “learning center” for knowledge spreading, “memory center” for file storage, and “guest hall” for cultural and leisure activities of citizens in Tianjin Airport Economic Area.

The comprehensive exhibition hall in the Cultural Center, covering 1,250m2, is a quasi-non-profit art gallery used to undertake various themed exhibitions such as visual art, moving images and popular culture.

The education and training division of the Culture Center, with a total area of more than 3,000m2, has about 40 training classrooms for training classes of literature, vocality, instrumental music, dance, calligraphy, and so on.
